Tubular Spring Balance
An essential classroom resource, these colour-coded spring scales (or force-meters) measure weight by tension on the enclosed helical spring. Each is calibrated in both Newtons and grams with a beveled top for use on an inclined plane.
Does the force needed to pull a certain weight across a surface change when the roughness of the surface changes? Each scale incorporates a zero adjustment, and is made with a clear plastic tube, allowing students to see the action of the spring.
Complete with chrome plated hooks and rings, calibrated in both Newtons and grams.
Length of tube measures 160mm, with a 25mm diameter, available in different weights.
