500g/5N Spring Balance
An essential classroom resource, these green colour-coded spring scales (or force-meters) measure weight by tension on the enclosed helical spring. Each is calibrated in both Newtons and grams with a beveled top for use on an inclined plane.
Does the force needed to pull a certain weight across a surface change when the roughness of the surface changes? Each scale incorporates a zero adjustment, and ismade with a clear plastic tube, allowing students to see the action of the spring.
Complete with chrome plated hooks and rings.
