This floatation submergence kit provides a simple way of demonstrating submarine theory and Archimedes' principle. By using the syringe to draw air out of the ball you can create a vacuum; water enters the ball through the nut in the bottom causing it to sink. The reading on the syringe reveals the volume of air replaced by water.
