Primary and Secondary Coils

Primary and Secondary Coils are used to study electromagnetic induction & transformer principles. The removable steel core with handle is 10 mm in diameter and 67 mm tall. All coils are wrapped with magnet wire with insulated binding posts as connectors. 

The outer coil is 50mm high and 32mm in diameter, with approximately 290 turns of wire. The inner coil is 19 mm in diameter, with approximately 460 turns of wire. Users may modify the inner and outer coil wires in order to test different number of wire loops and different wire diameters. The nominal diameter of inside wire is 0.5 mm and the nominal diameter of outside wire is 0.3 mm.
